PHILADELPHIA (CBS) –  The Penn baseball program has produced its fair share of high level players over the years.  This season, another name is being added to that list in junior outfielder Greg Zebrack.

A righthanded hitter, Zebrack was a first team All-Ivy selection last season when he hit .336.  Here in 2012 he has upped the ante with a .378 average to lead the team.  He can also drive the baseball, as he leads the Ivy League with 17 doubles and paces the Quakers with 7 home runs and 26 runs batted in.

“I feel like this year I’ve done a better job worrying about just the process and not the result, kind of letting that take care of itself,” Zebrack tells KYW Newsradio.  “Not really worrying about the outcomes, and when you do that playing this game, you play better.  So I’ve been doing a pretty good job with that. Hopefully it continues.”

Zebrack is also getting it done on the bases as he leads the Ancient 8 in runs scored (32) and he is tied for second in steals with ten.  He says the all-around success isn’t an accident.

“I don’t consider myself very good at one particular thing, I kind of pride myself on being a baseball player.  You see a lot of athletes, but I like feeling like a baseball player I can play defense, play some offense, run the bases.  I kind of like to do everything a baseball player does and I think that’s one of my strengths.”

Listen to KYW’s Matt Leon’s interview with Greg Zebrack:

Zebrack actually started his college career in his home state of California, playing at USC, before transferring over to Penn.  And he hasn’t looked back.
“It’s an Ivy League school, Philadelphia’s a great place, get to play everyday.  Best of both worlds.”

Zebrack and the Quakers return to the diamond Friday for an Ivy league doubleheader against  Cornell.
