Police Investigating Shooting Death In Northeast Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are investigating the shooting death of a man in Northeast Philadelphia early Monday morning.

The deadly shooting happened shortly after midnight in the 4200 block of Woodhaven Road near the Franklin Mills Mall.

Neighbors told police they heard the sound of gunfire and seconds later, the victim came running out of a door and dropped to the ground in front of an apartment building.

The unidentified 41-year-old man was taken to Aria Health’s Torresdale Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

So far, no arrests have been made and a motive in the deadly shooting remains under investigation.
