Puppies Killed In House Fire In Bucks County

CROYDON, Pa. (CBS) –- Fire officials say several puppies were killed in a house fire in Bucks County early Friday morning.

The fire started at about 6 a.m. inside a home in the 2100 block of Maple Avenue in Croydon.

Firefighters were able to bring the blaze under control in about 40 minutes. After placing the fire under control, firefighters found a litter of puppies that died in the blaze. It was not immediately known how many puppies perished.

Fire officials believe the fire may have started in the kitchen area of the home.

All the residents inside the home made it out of the house safely.

The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.
