School Bus Driver Flown To Area Hospital After Multi-Vehicle Crash In Cumberland County

DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBS) – The driver of a school bus in Cumberland County was flown to an area hospital after a multi-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon.

The accident, which involved the bus and two other vehicles, happened a little after 3 p.m. in the 400 block of Irving Avenue in Deerfield Township.

Police say the driver of the bus was flown to Cooper University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. An aide and a student were also on the bus; they were not injured, according to authorities.

Police say one of the people in the other vehicles was taken to an area hospital to be evaluated.

There is no word on how this accident happened at this time. Police are investigating.
