OCEAN CITY, N.J. (CBS) — Got plans for the holiday weekend ahead?  If you’re “down the shore,” there are plenty of Easter offerings.

Promenades along the boardwalk? Hey, they’ve written songs about that.

How about a chance to show off your pet? You’ll want to be at Carey Stadium, just off the Ocean City boardwalk, at 11am on Saturday morning for something called the “Woofin’ Paws Pet Fashion Show.”

“It’s for any pet that won’t eat another pet,” quips city spokesman Mark Soifer.  “We have various categories, like best dressed, bathing suit, pet owner lookalike, best tail wagger.”

There are also easter egg hunts in the Wildwoods on Saturday and Sunday. Also on Sunday there are several sunrise services set, and the more traditional fashion displays at Ocean City’s music pier as well as Steel Pier in Atlantic City and through the main shopping district in Cape May.
