PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Eagles will bring in free agent left tackle Demetrius Bell this weekend, as a prospect to replace the injured Jason Peters, according to 94WIP’s Howard Eskin.
The Eagles will have some big shoes to fill in the wake of Jason Peters’ ruptured Achilles. Peters, considered the best left tackle in football, could miss significant time during the 2012 season. The injury typically requires a six month recovery period, and often times more for a person the size of Peters.
Even if the Eagles were to move Todd Herremans to left tackle, it still leaves a big hole at right tackle, Michael Vick’s blindside.
Bell has played his entire career for the Buffalo Bills. He is the best free agent left tackle available, according to Eskin.
