PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are investigating more tire slashings in Northeast Philadelphia. The latest incident happened on the 1200 block of McKinley Street in Oxford Circle. Authorities say nine vehicles were vandalized over this past weekend.

“I’ve been seeing it on the news; I’ve been following it. I was hoping it would never come to this block,” said April Hutchinson, whose car was spared.

On Saturday, police released surveillance video from Thursday showing a white male believed to be in his late teens to early 20s, slashing the tires of at least two cars in less than 60 seconds. The video, captured around 9:30 Thursday night at Cottman and Rowland in Mayfair, shows the suspect slashing the right rear tire of a parked car.

Police have not yet commented on whether or not they believe the incidents in Mayfair and Oxford Circle are related.
