Suspect Sought In Videotaped Theft From Philadelphia Cell Phone Store

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police are searching for a suspect who was caught on surveillance tape smashing the front window of a cell phone business and stealing a cash register.

The incident happened at about 4:35 a.m. on March 13th at the Cricket store located in the 4200 block of Germantown Avenue.

The store's surveillance cameras captured the suspect approaching the business and then throwing a rock through the front glass door.

The suspect then entered the business and grabbed a cash register that contained approximately $100 before running out of the store.

The suspect is described as a black male, between 20-30 years-old, 5'8"-5'10", with a medium build and beard.
