Flyers: Andrej Meszaros To Have Surgery On Herniated Disc

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – This Flyers season has had many story lines, unfortunately serious injuries has been a big one. Add another to the list.
94WIP's Howard Eskin is reporting that Flyers defenseman Andrej Meszaros will have surgery this week to repair a herniated disc in his back. If Meszaros does have the surgery, it will likely end his season.
Meszaros had been out with an undisclosed lower body injury. The team has not had further comment on his condition.
The Flyers have reported that Meszaros will undergo surgery to remove a small disc fragment in his lower back on Wed., March 21st and will miss six to eight weeks.
