ATLANTIC CITY, Nj (CBS) — Police in Atlantic City, New Jersey are looking for a man suspected of stealing an ambulance from AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center on Sunday.
The ambulance, embossed with City of Atlantic City and Exceptional Medical Transport logos, was stolen from the emergency room loading area at the emergency room entrance.
Emergency medical personnel had transported a patient into the emergency room for treatment, and upon exiting the hospital, noticed the ambulance was gone.
The Atlantic City Police Department notified area law enforcement to be on the lookout for the vehicle, and after an investigation, the stolen ambulance was located in Millville, Cumberland County.
According to police, the suspect’s joyride made a momentary stop at a bar just prior to him abandoning the vehicle.

Police are urging anyone who may be able to identify the suspect or anyone with information about the incident to contact the Atlantic City Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit at 609-347-5766.
