PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Penn Quakers have what every team that plays college basketball games in March wants. Control of their own destiny.
With a win tonight, the Quakers would earn a share of the Ivy League championship with Harvard. They would also get the chance to play a one-game showdown with the Crimson, with the winner there earning the Ancient 8′s automatic NCAA Tournament berth.
Penn is 19-11 and 11-2 in the Ivy League. They rolled the Tigers in the first meeting between the two teams, 82-67, back on January 30th at the Palestra. But the Tigers are also playing good basketball, they have won 7 of 8 and sit at 18-11 heading into tonight.
KYW’s Matt Leon spoke with the radio voice of Penn basketball, Brian Seltzer, to break down this match-up and talk about what a special season that has become for Penn.
