PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – This has been an incredibly mild winter and many people are quite happy that they have been able to exercise quite a bit more outdoors than they have in previous years. But what if you are one of the many who has not gotten around to exercise?

Perhaps you made your New Year’s resolution to exercise and never kick started into action. You might be discouraged and thinking that it is too late and you missed a great opportunity to get into shape. Don’t fall into that trap. There is plenty of time before swimsuit season and you need to take advantage of the upcoming weather – which we know will be milder – to get out there and exercise.

Here is my advice…start slow. Don’t overdo it or discourage yourself. Remember, slow consistent exercise is the way to do it.
