MEDFORD, N.J. (CBS) – Police in a Burlington County town are investigating the theft of copper piping from a vacant home that was soon to be occupied.
The theft happened in the early morning hours of March 1st inside a home in the 200 block of Mt. Holly Road in Medford, New Jersey.
According to investigators, the soon-to-be-tenant found that over 150 feet of copper pipe, which supplied water to the house, had been stripped out of the basement.
Police say that the suspect(s) forced their way into the home through a rear door.
The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Medford Police department.
