PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Authorities say a man was killed in an early morning fire in an abandoned house in north Philadelphia.
Officials say the blaze was reported just after 3:30 a.m. Sunday in the West Oak Lane section of the city.

Fire crews arrived to find smoke pouring out of the first floor.

Authorities say the 50-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene a few minutes later. His name has not been released.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
