Elderly Woman Killed In Langhorne Fire

LANGHORNE, Pa. (AP) — Authorities say an elderly woman died in a fire at a suburban Philadelphia apartment complex.

Fire crews in Bucks County were called to the Foxwood Manor Apartments in Middletown Township shortly before noon on Friday.

Fire Marshal James McGuire says the blaze was mostly out by the time they arrived because of a lack of oxygen in the unit.

Coroner James Campbell says 74-year-old Beverly O'Boyle was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy is slated Sunday, but Campbell says her death was fire-related.

McGuire says O'Boyle's body was found in the kitchen. He says it appears that she got up to get a container of water to try to put out the blaze, but then collapsed.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
