PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – James Van Riemsdyk missed nearly two weeks of action due to a concussion. In his first game back from the injury, he suffered a broken foot, and could miss much more than that.
Paul Holmgren announced after Thursday night’s game that Van Riemsdyk broke his foot in the first period of the Flyers win against the Islanders. The team said he’ll be reevaluated on Friday.
94WIP’s Howard Eskin reports that Van Riemsdyk will miss up to 6-8 weeks with the injury, and could possibly have surgery on the foot next week.
