DIII Cabrini Plays for CSAC Title Tonight

By Matt Leon

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Cabrini Cavaliers hope to add another line to the impressive resume they have put together for this season tonight, as they host Keystone College for the CSAC title.

The Cavaliers are 25-1 and looking to win a third straight conference title.  They also have a lot of trends going their way.  Cabrini has won 16 straight overall, and 43 straight home conference match-ups.   They beat Keystone twice during the regular season in a couple of shootouts.

The Cavs won 95-92 at home back in December and then traveled to La Plume, Pennsylvania nine days ago and captured a 96-85 decision in their regular season finale.

Cabrini head coach Marcus Kahn says the scoreboard operators better be ready again tonight.

"I think with Keystone we both like to get out and go, we don't have to worry about forcing the tempo with them, which is nice.  We're going to get the tempo of the game right where we want it, they want the exact same thing."

"The funny thing is, both of us have very strong offenses, but I think its going to come down to the team that can get a couple of stops.  If we can put together a couple of stops in a row, I think the team that can do that is probably going to be able to put it away."

The winner tonight gets the CSAC's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, but regardless of the outcome, Cabrini is a lock to go dancing and most likely host multiple games as long as they are still standing.

Cabrini and Keystone will tip-off tonight at Nerney Field House in Radnor is set for 7:00pm.
