PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police in the city of Chester are investigating a pair of shootings that happened just blocks away from each other. But, despite their proximity, police do not believe they are related.

While investigating the first shooting, near 4th and Haines, officers heard gunfire coming from a few blocks away.

Responding officers found a man gunned down at 4th and Yarnell Streets. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The first victim is listed in critical condition at Crozer-Chester Medical Center.

Police have not made any arrests and both shootings remain under investigation.
