LEVITTOWN, Pa. (AP) — A man accused of being the driver who struck and killed a suburban Philadelphia man before fleeing the scene over the weekend has been charged with homicide by vehicle.
Twenty-three-year-old Charles Horrocks Jr. of Bristol is also charged with accidents involving death or personal injury, recklessly endangering another person, failure to render aid, and other offenses.
Authorities in Bucks County say 36-year-old Eric Beck was walking along a Bristol Township road early Sunday when he was struck by a black car. He died shortly after his mother arrived at the scene.
Police said Monday that they had found a car in a storage unit that was believed to be the vehicle involved.
Horrocks remained in custody on Tuesday; his father said he did not know whether he had an attorney.
