Flyers Look For First Win In Four Tries Vs. Jets

By Matt Leon

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Winnipeg has proven to be a difficult opponent for the Flyers this season.  The Jets are 3-0 against the Orange and Black, that includes a shootout win at the Center three weeks ago back on January 31st.

Truth be told, the Flyers have struggled to beat anyone as of late.  They have dropped six of eight, including a 6-4 decision on Saturday at the Center against Pittsburgh.  These struggles have dropped them into a third place tie in the Atlantic Division with those Penguins.  Both teams have 71 points, that's ten points behind the first-place Rangers.

Winnipeg has won three straight and they have moved into second place in the Southeast Division. They are just a point behind the first place Florida Panthers.

The newest Flyer should be in the line-up tonight.  Veteran defenseman Pavel Kubina was acquired in a trade with Tampa Bay over the weekend.

KYW's Matt Leon spoke with the Flyers beat writer for the Philadelphia Inquirer, Sam Carchidi, about this match-up with the Jets and what Flyers fans can expect out of Kubina.
