PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A person of interest connected to the hit-and-run of a 9-year-old girl in West Philadelphia last week turned herself in with her attorney on Monday, according to police.

Police say the woman, who has not yet been identified, was interviewed about the accident that happened last Tuesday in the 4800 block of Merion Avenue. The incident was caught on surveillance which police released over the weekend (see related story).

In the video, a dark blue sedan is seen speeding off after slamming into Aijahanae Johnson who was crossing the street on her bicycle. Johnson was rushed to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia with cuts and bruises.

Police say the person of interest was released after the interview and is expected to be charged on Tuesday.
