Delaware Police Officer Injured In Crash

NEW CASTLE, Del. (AP) — Police in New Castle County say a police officer was injured when her cruiser collided with a car whose driver was allegedly making an illegal U-turn.

Authorities say the female officer was taken to a hospital and treated for minor injuries after the crash happened Saturday morning in New Castle. She was later released.

Police said the driver of the other vehicle, 78-year-old Wilmington resident William Cheseroni, was not injured and refused medical treatment. He was cited for making the illegal turn.

  1. THE TRUTH says:

I notice a major trend when it comes to vehicular accident involving Cops. Whenever they get into an accident that is their fault, they blame the other drivers saying they are driving illegally making u-turns or speeding. It cost the city less money for not further investigating and siding with the police. But, it left a man or woman injured without being compensated for the negligence that was caused by the hands of the speeding officer. This is politics and economics to its fullest state. No justice for innocent civilians.
