Accident On Route 322 In Brandywine Leaves Two Critically Injured

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Two people are critically injured after a car accident early Saturday morning in West Brandywine Township.

Upon arriving at the scene of the two vehicle accident in the 1600 block of Route 322, West Brandywine police found two people seriously injured and unconscious.

One driver was flown with critical injuries to Jefferson and two others were taken by ambulance to Paoli Hospital.

Preliminary reports say Linda Bentley, of Elverson, was operating 2007 Honda Fit eastbound on Route 322 and Michael Breen, of Glenmoore, was operating a 2008 Ford Focus westbound on Route 322, when both vehicles collided head on. The occupants of both vehicles had to be extricated from the vehicle by East Brandywine and Glenmoore Fire Companies.

Bentley was flown to Jefferson, while Breen's passenger, Megan Guiltinan, of Malvern, was taken to Paoli hospital for serious injuries as well.

Witnesses to the accident are encouraged to contact West Brandywine Police at 610-380-8201. The accident remains under investigation.
