Driver Sought In Hit And Run In Cobbs Creek

By Steve Beck

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police are searching for a driver who fled the scene after striking several cars early Friday morning.

The incident happened at about 1 a.m. at 59th Street and Cedar Avenue in the city’s Cobbs Creek section.

According to investigators, a female suspect was driving a BMW when she crashed into several parked cars and then drove back onto the street.

When she went back onto the street, authorities say she then crashed into an oncoming car. The impact sent the other car up over a pole and onto the sidewalk. The driver in the other car was not hurt.

Investigators say the suspect then drove away from the scene.

Anyone with information is urged to call 911.
