Vigil Held For 11-Year-Old Victim Of Burlington County School Bus Crash

By Kim Glovas and Natasha Brown

CHESTERFIELD, N.J. (CBS) – A vigil was held tonight at the Chesterfield Baptist Church in Burlington County for the little girl who was killed in the bus-dump truck accident. Prayers were also offered for the three children still hospitalized. (see related story)

Tara Gigliotti came to the vigil with three of her four children. She said it was a very long, tragic day for most families in the tight-knit community. Gigliotti explained what happened when she picked up her younger children from school.

"Well when I picked the children they were unaware of how tragic the day had unfolded, and I sat them down and I explained what we knew at that point. There were a lot of tears, and it's just been hard, it's been a hard day."

16-year-old Allison Lebak knew the girls from elementary school and camp, and explains why she came.

"Just supporting the community, and just knowing them through camp, and everything., just thought it would be nice to show my face, and just say I'm thinking about the family and praying for everyone."
