PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Philadelphia Union have signed veteran defender and Philadelphia native Chris Albright, the team announced today. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Albright played soccer in high school for Penn Charter, then played two years in college for the University Of Virginia, where he was an All-American as a forward.
Albright is a 13 year veteran of the MLS, starting his career in 1999 with D.C. United and most recently playing for the New York Red Bulls in 2011. The 33 year-old Albright has been named an MLS All-Star three times.
Albright has also earned 22 caps with the U.S. National Team.
