Phillies Announce Wall Of Fame Nominees

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — The Phillies announced the 2012 nominees for their Wall Of Fame today. The nominees will be voted on until Wednesday, March 14th at 5pm.

The ballot incudes pitchers Larry Christenson, Jim Konstanty, Ron Reed, Curt Schilling, and Rick Wise, catchers Mike Lieberthal, and Jimmy Wilson, infielder Pinky Whitney, outfielders Greg Gross and Von Hayes, coach Mike Ryan, and Jim Fregosi.

Fans can vote at phillies.com for their top three choices, awarding the most points to their top choice. The top five choices are determined by total points, and will serve as the official ballot for the Wall of Fame Selection Committee, which is made up of team executives and media members.

    Jim Fregosi almost single-handedly blew game 6 of the 1993 World Series with his horrendous handling of his bullpen. He got lucky for one year with a great team, but was a medicore manager for his whole career. No way he goes on the Wall!
