Police Probe Shooting Death Of Elderly Man In Atlantic County

MAYS LANDING, N.J. (CBS) – Police are investigating the shooting death of an elderly man who was found inside an Atlantic County home Sunday afternoon.

Investigators say the body of 77-year-old John Kingsbury was found inside a home on Woodland Avenue in Mullica Township.

The Mullica Township Police Department responded to the scene and transported Kingsbury to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center Mainland Campus, where he was later pronounced dead.

An autopsy completed Monday morning revealed the cause of death to be two gunshot wounds and the manner of death to be a homicide.

So far, no arrests have been made.
