PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - There is no doubt that there is a tremendous degree of excitement surrounding the Patriots-Giants game and why not. It is the Super Bowl and there are two great quarterbacks of very hot teams ready to fight it out on the biggest stage in pro football.

For many, the Super Bowl is also an opportunity to make friendly wagers on everything from who will win the coin toss to who will score the first touchdown. But for some,…there is another side.

The compulsive gambler who might have his paycheck or more on the line will find it hard to resist gambling and so will many people who will try to make up for a season of losses all at once.

If you find your self in this position, reach out to get help, whether it is with Gambler’s Anonymous or calling your physician. Certainly the allure is great but the downside is far greater.
