Suspect Sought In Theft Of Jewelry Worth $875K From Rittenhouse Square Apartment

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are searching for the thief who stole jewelry worth $875,000 from an apartment in Rittenhouse Square.

The theft happened at about 11:40 a.m. on January 18th inside an apartment in the 200 block of Rittenhouse Square

Surveillance video captured the suspect entering the apartment and while inside, he took several pieces of jewelry valued at $875,000.

The suspect then left the apartment, took an elevator and then exited the rear of the building onto Locust Street.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 30-years-old, 6’0”-6’1”, with a large build and bald head. He was wearing a green or blue jacket with a dark-colored knit hat and dark-colored jeans.

Anyone with information is urged to call 911.
