Inmate Escapes Berks County Prison

SOUTH HEIDELBERG Twp., Pa. (CBS) — Police in Berks County are on alert after an inmate escaped from prison Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, at about 12:45 p.m.Kyle Luther Perry, 27, signed out to go to the library and did not return as required.

Shortly after Perry was entered as an Escapee from the Wernersville Community Correction Center in South Heidelberg Township and is currently wanted by the Pennsylvania State Police Reading Barracks.

This investigation into how Perry escaped the prison continues.
