DARBY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) — A raging two-alarm fire destroyed half of a two-story twin home in Delaware County Tuesday morning.
The fire was discovered at about 9:15 a.m. inside one-half of the twin in the 900 block of Lawnton Terrace in Darby Township.
Firefighters from Collingdale, Briarcliff and neighboring communities were called in to battle the fast moving flames which engulfed the one end unit of the twin.
Fire officials credit an excellent fire wall from preventing the fire to spreading to the second half of the twin.
Fire officials say it would appear the burned out home is a total loss.
There was no immediate report of any injuries.
An investigation is underway to determine a cause.
