Car Accident In Bucks County Kills Driver, Leaves 3 Passengers With 'Extensive' Injuries

SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) – A fatal accident involving a single car killed one early Saturday morning.

Shortly after midnight on Saturday morning, police say that a 2008 Acura TL was travelling southbound on Route 212 in Springfield Township, Bucks County when it lost control and swerved into the northbound lane. The vehicle then struck a telephone pole before hitting two pine trees and coming to a stop.

The driver of the car, a 43-year-old male, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the three other occupants of the car were transported to undisclosed hospitals with extensive injuries. The three surviving passengers are said to be two 28-year-old females and a 28-year-old male.

An investigation is currently being conducted by PSP Dublin.
