Suspect Sought In Theft From South Philadelphia Funeral Home

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are searching for a suspect who stole money from a South Philadelphia funeral home.

The theft happened at about 11:30 a.m. on January 11th at the Carto Funeral Home located at 2212 S. Broad Street.

According to investigators, the suspect entered the funeral home and while inside, he stole a metal cash box containing $400 in cash. The suspect then walked out of the funeral home.

The suspect is described as a white male between 40 to 50-years-of-age. He was wearing glasses, a brown jacket, blue jeans and black shoes.

    And how was he just able to walk right into the office without someone knowing? Just like any business, shouldn’t there be some way of letting them know that someone has entered the establishment?
