Tacony Store Owner Shot Dead In Front Of His Family

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The owner of a restaurant and corner store in Tacony was shot dead in front of his wife and child on Friday night.

Police responded to calls for shots fired inside the Jin House corner store on Longshore Avenue near Tulip Street around 7 p.m. on Friday.

When they arrived, they found the 27-year-old store owner shot once in the chest on the floor behind the counter. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Reportedly, the man’s wife was inside the store holding their child when her husband was shot.

Police say that surveillance video caught the suspects fleeing on foot from the store. The suspects were both wearing masks.

No money was taken from the register, and the suspects left a tip jar sitting on the counter.

I spent 55 years in PHilly. The crime is unbeleivable! Chances are you will be robbed if you walk down the street in a GOOD area let alone a BAD area. There’s no such thing as a safe neighborhood in Philly any more. Everyone is at risk of rape, robbery or death.

So then the trillions we spend on the military to “protect us” either isn’t working, or maybe – just maybe – that’s not what it’s meant for in the first place?

That was supposed to be a new, separate comment. I guess I hit the REPLY button by accident, lol.

Hopefully the US Marshal’s office will get involved in this case too so that those responsible for this crime are picked up within the week.

Derek you are a moron. This was yet another premeditated case of black on asian crime via attempted robbery that went bad. Now another Asian store owner is dead at the hands of these SNB’s that are totally out of control in this city. If you own a business best you get a gun because the odds are 50/50 you’re about to get robbed when a black male walks into your store in Philly.

vinnie, that is so very true…

How does a robbery “go good”? The feral g roi d gets away with the money?

My idea is that he takes two to the body and one to his thick gourd.
