"I'm Marcie Turney from Jamonera, and here's What's Cooking on 1060!"

Marcie Turney and her partner, Valerie Safran, focus on sherry and vermouth at their new Spanish tapas restaurant, Jamonera, opening Sunday on South 13th Street, near Chestnut.
"We're doing food from Andalucia in Southern Spain," Turney says, "so that has the 'sherry triangle,' the three areas where all the sherry is produced."
She explains that "jamonera" is a stand used for cutting ham:
"And when we were in Spain, we actually went to the store of the woman who just won the jamon (ham) cutting contest, which is a huge thing is Spain -- a woman had never won before."

"We have shaved hot choclate, mini marshmallows, M&Ms, crumbled Oreos, we have mini s'mores, and also the mini chocolate M&Ms. Every hot chocolate comes with this platter, whether it's one or it's a family of four. You get the big platter with all the toppings, and you can sit right in front of the fireplace here in the nice, comfortable couches and chairs."
It's just $5 per person. And, for an extra dollar, you can turn it into an adult beverage.
"You can have your hot chocolate with any cordial that you like -- we have the Kahlua, we have the Bailey's."
