TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Snow flurries aren’t slowing the commute across New Jersey on Friday.
However, snow and a wintry mix are expected to move into the state early Saturday and the heaviest amounts are expected in the north.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for Sussex, Warren, Morris, Passaic, Bergen and Essex counties.
Forecasters say 4 to 8 inches of snow are possible in the region, beginning after midnight. Forecasters say the snow will gradually mix with or change to sleet and freezing rain.
Elsewhere, a winter weather advisory is posted for central, southern and coastal New Jersey.
Forecasters say 1 to 3 inches are possible before it ends Saturday morning.
