Philadelphia (CBS) – It’s become a Martin Luther King Day tradition in Delaware County. This will be the eleventh year of the “Hoops from the Heart” basketball clinics at various locations around the county.
The one day clinics are designed to raise money and food donations for the Community Action Agency of Delaware County. Haverford women’s basketball coach Bobbi Morgan has run point on the clinics for boys and girls in grades first through eighth since they started back in 2002.
“There are registration forms available on all of the colleges’ websites. They can contact the Community Action Agency directly or call me. But we do take walk-up registrations at all five clinics. They are 9 a.m. through 12 p.m. on Monday, Martin Luther King Day,” says Morgan.
The clinics will be held at Haverford College, Cabrini College, Neumann University, Widener University and Springfield High School.
Since these clinics started close to $50,000 has been raised.
