PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Philadelphia police are investigating a crash that left two people injured Saturday afternoon after their car fell several feet off interstate 95.

At about 1:30 p.m., a vehicle traveling northbound on interstate 95 lost control and fell 35 feet off the highway near Wakeling Street, police said. Police identified the victims as Ryan Miller of Langhorne and Christina Jacoby of Pendell.

Authorities say Miller lost control of his vehicle which was moving at a high rate of speed before it struck the left and right side barriers. After striking the right side barrier, the vehicle left the roadway, according to investigators. Both occupants were taken to Temple University hospital for their injuries and are listed in stable condition.

Authorities say blood samples were taken and charges will be filed pending a toxicology report.
