Why wasn’t Scott Hartnell invited to the All Star Game?

Pretty easy answer. Most of the players and coaches don’t like him. Which actually means he is doing his job. Anyone can see that Hartnell is physical and takes shots at people, making him an aggravating guy to play against.

He is 12th in the league in goals and 26th in points among all players. His numbers at this point in the season are much better then the Capitals’ Alex Ovechkin, who IS an All-Star.

Still, some say he is only having an amazing season because he’s on same line as Jaromir Jagr and Claude Giroux.

Coach Peter Laviolette said if he wasn’t selected it would be “criminal.”

If that’s the case, someone needs to go to jail, because even though the “best power forward in the game” is playing like an all star, he won’t be going to Ottawa.
