Suspect In Stolen Vehicle Shot After Trying To ‘Run Down’ Plain-Clothes Cop

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — A suspect was shot after trying to run down a plain-clothes police officer, late Wednesday night.

According to police, a man in a stolen vehicle tried to deliberately run into the officer who returned fire at the suspect near the intersection of Glenwood and York in Northwest Philadelphia.

The suspect was hit in the arm and crashed the vehicle; he was taken to the hospital in police custody.

He officer was not injured.
