Charlotte Defeats St. Joe's, 57-52

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Pierria Henry scored 11 points and had four steals, including one during a game-winning run, to help Charlotte defeat Saint Joseph's 57-52 on Saturday.

Charlotte (9-5, 2-0 Atlantic 10) trailed 50-45 with 4:31 left before Henry grabbed a steal and an offensive rebound as part of a 9-0 run. Charlotte then held on, going 5 of 7 from the free-throw line the rest of the way.

Briscoe added 11 points for Charlotte, which led 31-24 at halftime before shooting just 25.9 percent in the second half (7 of 27).

Carl Jones scored 14 points and Halil Kanacevic 12 for the Hawks (11-5, 1-1).
