NEWARK, Del. (CBS) — Police in Delaware are searching for a suspect in the attempted luring of a teenage girl Wednesday afternoon.

The incident happened at about 5 p.m. on Wyoming in the vicinity of Innovation Way in Newark.

According to police, a 15-year-old girl told them she was walking down the street when she was approached by a male in an older black minivan with tinted rear windows and a dent on the rear passenger side door.

The male asked her if she needed a ride and she refused. The suspect then drove away but returned moments later and again asked her if she needed a ride.
