Post 24/7, Flyers Back To Bryz-ness?

By Lesley Van Arsdall

The last episode of 24/7 Flyers Vs. Rangers airs Thursday night. Now that the cameras are off, will they get back to business as usual?

How could the cameras not be a distraction? Was it a distraction for goalie Ilya Bryzgalov? HBO made him the star of the show, then, before the Winter Classic he is suddenly benched for backup Sergei Bobrovsky. He did say he wears "many masks" even coach Peter Laviolette said "It's not normal."

So, now it's back to 'normal.' Bryzgalov was back in the net against Chicago and Flyers are back to their winning ways.

The Flyers are now third in the Eastern Conference, and second in the Atlantic Division. A feat I'm amazed they were able to accomplish this given all the distractions. (Although. let's face it the Rangers are currently in first place and they lived with the cameras too)

On a positive note, the last time the Flyers lost the Winter Classic, they went on to the Stanley Cup Finals, so we'll see.
