3 Killed In Crash Near Franklin Mills Mall

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Three people are dead following a single-car crash near the Franklin Mills Mall.

The crash happened on the 900 block of Franklin Mills Circle at about 8:00 p.m. Wednesday night.

According to police, the vehicle apparently hit three concrete barriers and flipped over, ejecting two male passengers and trapping a third, female passenger.

All three victims, who police say were between the ages of 18 and 25, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Eyewitnesses tell CBS 3 the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed before the crash.

Police are investigating if alcohol was involved in the accident.

The identities of the victims have not yet been released.
