PHILADELPHIA (AP) – Damion Lee scored 14 points and Drexel shut down St. Francis defensively in the first half of a 63-42 rout Saturday.
In winning their sixth consecutive game, the Dragons (8-4) took a 21-point halftime lead, limiting St. Francis (3-10) to 14 points in the first half to lead 35-14 at the break. Drexel matched St. Francis point for point in the second half to win easily.
St. Francis shot 30 percent (6 of 20) in the first half, made 2 of 9 3-pointers and attempted no free throws. Drexel hit 12 of 22 shots in the first half, making 7 of 13 3-pointers and was 4-for-4 from the line.
Daryl McKoy grabbed 14 rebounds for Drexel. Samme Givens scored 11 points, and Derrick Thomas and Chris Fouch had 11 apiece.
Anthony Ervin scored 14 points for St. Francis, which lost for the fourth time in five games.
