DAVIDSON, N.C. (AP) — Chris Czerapowicz scored a career-high 23 points and Davidson beat Pennsylvania 75-70 Thursday night.
Czerapowicz shot 9 of 15 from the field and knocked down four 3-pointers in the win.
Penn (7-6) held a 33-30 lead at halftime, but the Wildcats opened the second half with a 16-3 run to take a 46-36 lead with 12:26 left to play. Czerapowicz’s layup capped the spurt.
Penn outshot Davidson 46 percent (24 of 52) to 40 percent (21 of 52) but the Wildcats knocked down 81 percent (26 of 32) of their free throws compared to 71 percent (17 of 24) for the Quakers.
Nik Cochran scored 15 and J.P. Kuhlman added 11 for the Wildcats (8-4).
Tyler Bernardini led Penn with 16 points.
The matchup marked Davidson’s first home game since its 87-83 loss to Vanderbilt on Dec. 7.
Davidson leads the all-time series, which began in 1956, 6-5.
