Hundreds Offer Donations, Help For Baby Noel

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Hundreds from across the country have reached out to help Baby Noel and now you can too.

She's captured the heart of many. The newborn baby girl found in a box in North Philadelphia, just days before Christmas. DHS spokesperson Alicia Taylor says, hundreds of people from all over the country have called to offer assistance.

"People want to know if they can adopt her. Others want to know how they can help her out, whether it's giving her money, giving her clothing, giving her toys."

Taylor says DHS is accepting new clothes, toys and other items for Baby Noel.

"We're anticipating a large response, and cannot guarantee that all of the items go to Baby Noel. We have a lot of children who in need."

You can drop off donations at the DHS offices at 1515 Arch Street in Center City between 9am and 5pm through December 30th.
