UPPER DARBY, Pa. (CBS) – The search is on for two men who are seen on surveillance video shoplifting from an Upper Darby department store on Christmas Eve. Why all the media interest? It’s to what lengths they went to avoid store security.
The two men — both about 6 feet tall, 230 pounds — are seen stuffing a clear plastic bag with hundreds of dollars worth of men’s clothing at Marshalls. They’re confronted at the door by a 58-year-old security guard who took a stun-gun shot to the stomach as the pair fled on foot. He declined medical treatment.
Upper Darby police superintendent Michael Chitwood wants to get the duo off the streets, pronto, “because these guys don’t care. There’s no conscience to them. They could have really hurt that guy, so who knows what they could do in another type of robbery?”
You’re asked to call Upper Darby Police (610-734-7677) if you can help identify and track down the suspects, pictured above in surveillance video.
