Man Killed In Gloucester County Crash

MONROE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBS) - Police have identified the man killed in a two-car collision in Gloucester County early Christmas Eve morning.

The accident happened at about 3:45 a.m. along Route 322 in Monroe Township.

Authorities say 41-year-old Nic Huynh was on his way home from work at the Borgata Casino in Atlantic City when a car driving the opposite direction crossed over the median strip and struck his vehicle. According to police, Vincent Paoline, 25, was driving eastbound on Route 322 near Corkery Lane when he lost control and crossed into the westbound lane.

Monroe Township police officers at the scene reported smelling alcohol on Paoline's breath and blood was drawn from him after he was admitted to Cooper Medical Center with injuries from the crash. The investigation led authorities to believe Paoline was not wearing a seat belt after he was found in the back seat of the car.

Paoline's passenger, 24-year-old Ray Lawson, was also injured in the crash and was hospitalized at Cooper Medical Center in Camden with a suspected fractured neck, police said.

Paoline faces vehicular homicide and assault by auto charges.

The accident remains under investigation.
